Blake Edwards

I was very sorry to read that you (we) have lost Blake Edwards.  Please accept my condolences.  He was THE master of sophistocated comedy.  But what a life full of years!  And more than half of them with the greatest lady of them all.

my wedding

I saw the interview on ABC. I had always called my eldest daughter "my fairy princess" so the book title caught my attention, so I watched the interview and planned to purchase the book for my daughter.

As I thought about "letting your sparkle out" I decided I would purchase the books for all the lovely ladies who are helping me with my wedding. As a "vintage" woman, I figure I can get my attendants and helpers anything I want and it doesn't have to be traditional. I…

What a book!

I bought your "Collections of Poems" for my granddaughter's 7th birthday. I started to mark pages she would be able to read and enjoy on her own. I couldn't put the book down. I think this will stay on her bookshelf even when she becomes a grandmother and can share this great collection. Will order a copy for myself soon.
Thanks.

Thank-you!

Dear Julie and Emma,
I received my book a couple of days ago, a signed copy purchased through the Disneyland Resort. It is a beautiful volume! The chosen entries are inspiring, sentimental, thoughtful, humorous, and comforting. My daughter and I also love the watercolor illustrations. Thank you both for such a great addition to a family's library!

My own Book, "The Secret Elf Village"

When I was a child of 8, I adored reading. Now I have written a book for 8-12 year olds. It is a fantasy, and asks the main question "where do elves live?" Do they live in apartments? Igloos? Condos? Also, their village is a secret, and they don't want children to visit them. Why? In my book, one little girl, named JULIE, with red hair, and blue eyes, definitely wants to find the truth. To help her find it is a magic unicorn. My book is not publshed yet, as it needs an agent, and to get one,… Continue

10/11/09- The Day I met Julie and Emma

"The Sound of Music" is my favorite Movie! && I really wanted to tell Julie that, because I knew I might never get another chance to talk to her.

I was waiting in line at Costco in Westbury, NY for 3 hours!! I was really excited and nervous. When they said Julie Andrews was in the building, it was so exciting! I got off the line to see Her and Emma come in. Julie was so Beautiful. I couldn't believe it. Emma was lovely. When I got to Julie, she said "hi, how are you?" I was… Continue

Thank you

Dear Julie and Emma,

Today I received "Julie Andrews' Collection of Poems, Songs, and Lullabies", read it immediately and listened to the accompanying CD.I am very much looking forward to receiving the CD of the book (Hearbook). So many poems/songs I remember from my own childhood, even though I am Dutch (but my Mom and I are very "UK-orientated"). The book is a teasure to have and a wonderful gift. It also (unwillingly?) provides more inside indormation about Dame Julie, Emma and their… Continue
